Logline: This is the story of a young and an old couple who feel that their own love stories are unremarkable but find the other’s love story to be beautiful. Synopsis: The story begins in a house in Delhi where Mr. Sanjay (48) and Mrs. Rajni Sharma (38) have been living a married life for the past 20 years. They are a typical husband and wife whose day starts and ends with arguments. Looking at them, it seems like there’s no romance left in their lives. Mr. Sanjay leaves for work early in the morning, while Mrs. Sharma spends her day watching TV or doing chores, simply passing the time. They don’t have any children, which could have changed the topics of their arguments. They live in a two-floor house, and since it’s just the two of them, they rent out the second floor in hopes of having someone to talk to. However, no tenant can tolerate their constant bickering for more than a month. It seems their life will continue this way until two new people enter their lives—Jyoti and Pratham, a newly married couple. They have been married for just a year and both work in an IT firm in Noida. Being in a new job and a young couple, they are looking for a family-like environment, especially since Pratham works alternating night and day shifts every week. When this new couple moves in, the older couple decides they won’t fight anymore so that the tenants don’t leave. For a week, they manage to keep their promise, but after that, the fights resume. To their surprise, Jyoti and Pratham don’t react at all, and life goes back to normal for the older couple. On the other hand, Pratham and Jyoti live a life full of love, and watching them, it seems like if there were a definition of love, it would be them. Watching them, Sanjay and Rajni begin to change slightly, and their arguments become less frequent. Mrs. Rajni Sharma starts trying to look more beautiful, and Mr. Sanjay begins bringing her flowers and small gifts. Gradually, peace returns to the household, and Rajni and Jyoti start having conversations. Eventually, both share their love stories with each other. Mr. Sanjay starts giving life tips to Pratham, and over time, they form a small, close-knit family. A year passes. During this time, Pratham’s health often deteriorates, so he quits his job and mostly stays at home. One day, while he is home alone, his condition worsens, and he faints. Jyoti is not home, so Mr. and Mrs. Sharma try to call her, but she doesn’t pick up. They rush Pratham to the hospital with all his medical papers from his room. At the hospital, they learn that Pratham is in the last stage of cancer and has only a month to live. Pratham regains consciousness, and upon the doctor’s suggestion, they bring him home, where Jyoti is waiting for them. When they talk to Jyoti, they find out that she already knew about Pratham’s illness and had married him only for a year, knowing his condition. Whether Pratham survives or not and how Mr. and Mrs. Sharma react after learning the truth are some of the questions that get answered at the end of this story.
